On October 30th, under the auspices of the Council on Foreign Relations and Foreign Affairs Journal, the Israel-U.S. Business Forum convened to brainstorm how the United States and Israel could work together to help Israel develop the kind of initiatives that could be integrated throughout the region as a basis for further collaboration. This past week, on October 10, a young woman I admire, Malala Yousafzai, was awarded the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize. When she got the call that she won, she did not celebrate immediately. Instead, she returned to her chemistry class at her high school in Birmingham, England. A fitting reaction by someone who had risked her life for the right to be educated. Read more
